This large wooden storage trunk has ample room for all of your storage needs. Use it at the foot of the bed for blankets and pillow storage or as a coffee table storing board games. Versatile and beautiful in any room!
For the longest time I was wanting to build a blanket storage trunk. I was getting tired of seeing all my blankets piled up in a corner on a half broken basket!
Thanks to the free plans provided by Ana White , I adjusted the measurements and made a copy cat version of the Rebecca Trunk from Pottery Barn.
So, what do you think? Are you tempted to build your own?

Would you happen to have a link for the hinges you used. What size and type? Thanks!
Hello, Heather! The hinges that I used are just regular door hinges, which I think are standard size. I just attached them as shown on the picture. There will be a gap since I didn’t carve out the wood to make them flushed. I figured it would add to the rustic look, but you could very well trace the plate on the wood and carve out some of the wood so you don’t have a gap. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Hi – wondering if you could share the dimensions you used?
Many thanks
Hi Holly!
I don’t have the exact dimensions, but if you add about a foot to the length and width of the original plans from Ana White, you should be good 🙂
If you ask me, I think Ana’s version is a much better size. The larger one is huge and harder to maneuver. I hope this helps!
