Hello there! Last week I shared how I took care of my shoe explosion!  Here’s my next home organization tip!

Got DVD’s?? I do! And my kids are “so great at putting them nicely on the shelves“, said no mom EVER!

This is what our DVD collection usually looked like….UGH! This picture was taken on a GOOD day!. Seriously!

I kinda wish I would’ve bought a TV stand with doors! Hindsight is 20/20, right? BUT, instead I opted to go for a cheaper option ๐Ÿ™‚ Lined storage baskets. They are functional and stylish!

It has been over a year since I did this ! and my DVD’s are still looking good! I can fit 25 DVDs in each basket! The best part? If you want to dust your shelves you just move the baskets out of the way! Win, win!

I bought a couple of extra baskets to put small games we usually play in our family room: like dominoes, spot it and a few other card games! You can use these baskets to store anything small, really. I. LOVE. BASKETS.

I bought mine at Target. Unfortunately I could not find the exact same ones on their website, but I found similar options for you! Some are even cuter ๐Ÿ™‚ Check them out!

The baskets below are  similar to the ones I bought at Target, but they aren’t lined. Super cute! Here’s the link to these beauties!

This one is awesome as well! And lined! From Joann’s

Minolta DSC

Last but not least is this mesh basket! My favorite. I think I will get some for my bathroom! Will let you know if I do!

How do you take care of your media storage? I would love to hear your ideas!

Awesome! That was a very clever way to store your dvd’s and still have it look super cute and stylish. Way to go!

How are the DVDs organized in each basket? Love this idea!

    1. Hi Vicky,
This has evolved over time ๐Ÿ™‚ Right now they’re organized by movie type “kids movies” vs “teenage/adult movies” vs Home movie (we have a lot of burned DVDs from our kids’ high school theatre days.
      Thanks for stopping by!
