DIY Custom Wall Sconce

This week I built this little DIY wall sconce and I am dying to show how easy this is to make! Not to mention cheap! I made two wall mounts for about $5 in lumber. So, if you have the tools (or know someone who does!) then you are set.

Tools for Beginners: My Top 5 Favorite

I am excited to share with you my 5 favorite tools for beginners!  If you have ever thought to yourself “I’m no good with tools” or “I wish I was better at DIY”….I am telling you, I was the exact same way. You see, I am married to the best guy in the world, BUT… he is NOT a handyman. Bummer, I guess he is “almost” perfect 🙂 My motivation to try out woodworking came from wanting things my hubby couldn’t DIY and I couldn’t afford to buy. My sister Beverly was also a great motivator. She was the first to take a stab at woodworking. You should check out her beautiful wooden trunk!

Easy DIY Wood Serving Tray- Farmhouse Style

Here I am ready to share another this fun DIY wood serving tray project. This one is super easy and cheap! What a way to add a farmhouse touch! I was able to put this together in about 20 minutes out of wood scraps! The finish took a little longer because ya know, paint needs to dry between coats. Otherwise I would have finished this in record time! This is a perfect little gift for anyone! Isn’t it cute?

DIY Wooden Box Centerpiece

Hello there sawdust sisters!

Are you ready to build this simple DIY wooden box centerpiece? This was such a beautiful spring weekend!! Temps in the high 60’s in Utah are a big deal after a cold winter. So, in between soccer games and other outings I built this DIY wooden box centerpiece out of some scrap wood I had leftover from the floating desk I built a while back.

I love it so much, mostly because it’s so light, airy, and springy! I also like that you can change up its decor with every holiday and seasons.
